While others serve up cupcakes, Gary Stokan is feeding our cravings with filet mignon.

The Chick-fil-A Bowl president and CEO landed another big game to kick off this college football season, a game that, if it were played in January, could easily have the three big boy letters—BCS—preceding it. Here’s the best part: Alabama vs. Virginia Tech at the Georgia Dome this weekend is just the beginning.

LSU and North Carolina are close to finalizing a deal that will kick off the 2010 season at the Georgia Dome. Tennessee and N.C. State are lined up for 2012. And Stokan, whose Chick-fil-A Bowl has become an annual sellout and can’t-miss TV, has talked to other heavyweights about future games, including Notre Dame, USC, UCLA and Texas.

It also helps to raise the city’s profile in case the BCS eliminates double-hosting and adds a city to the current four cities-for-five games rotation.
