Kobe is the most media hyped up superstar there ever was, is & ever will be. Because he copies MJ so much including Mannerism, NBA is trying desperately hard to survive post Jordan era. NBA trying excessively hard to make Kobe into next MJ with very relaxed defensive rules & lots of scoring. Aint gonna happen. MJ was MJ. He was so special & original. Even the 2nd GOAT MAGIC who himself was damn original said. “their is MJ & then there are rest of us”. Jordan is unmatchable, untouchable. Godly.

It’s the other way around for me. Directly BECAUSE of Kobe Bryant’s emulation and the angle of coverage the media has taken with it, Jordan’s legacy is not being properly held to the right standard, and the people who degrade and try to minimize his legacy just prove that they don’t know a damn thing about Michael Jordan. Fucking johnny-come-latelys just look like morons when they do that.

  12. bruceblitzconfession Says:

I noticed that too. They say the same thing about Tiger Woods. “They are too scared to rock the boat, that’s why I respect Ali more, he stood up for what he believed in and used his platform with his popularity for the better good.”

OK, Ali is Ali, Michael Jordan and Tiger just don’t want to alienate any of their fans by stating opinions like that. It’s a different era.

  13. crs2344 Says:

What he meant by that was that MJ wasn’t as great as people made him out to be. Revisionist history. Then you have Captain Obvious and Greg Anthony. Skip Bayless…LOL there were actually people on the Golf Channel that dissed when they were having the Tiger Woods is the most dominant athlete of all-time debate. Saying MJ had the refs to back him up. I’ve noticed the potshots alot more then when he was still playing. I guess people didn’t want to piss him off and not be able to get a interview.

  14. crs2344 Says:

You know I’ve noticed since MJ retired that more sportswriters try to take little pot shots at him. A few weeks ago Shelly Smith from ESPN wrote an article about how MJ never got into political and social issues like Lebron was trying to do with China. Gene Wojciechowski said a similar statement in an article about Barkley. JA Adande wrote “Kobe will never be MJ..but MJ will never be MJ..in terms of the way MJ is revered and remembered”

lol. There are some misrepresentations of Jordan in that book that Sam Smith wrote. He had an axe to grind over a few things. This guy fell for it. It would be like someone showing up at a Kobe Bryant game yelling excerpts from the book “dead women tell no tales”. Or the part of Phil Jackson’s book where he called Kobe “uncoachable” just a couple years back.

  16. bruceblitzconfession Says:

Yep. This guy found out that Jordan wasn’t perfect and apparently it bothered the shit out of him. Who knows. They should have had Tom Cruise interview him to see what his deal was. We could watch 2 perceived crazy men have a conversation. lol.

  17. crs2344 Says:

Well at least we know he can read…it would of been funny if he kept mispronouncing shit and struggling to spit out a word.

  18. JCR1992 Says:

yeah i remember seeing him when the bulls were playing in the bullets landover in 92 but jordan got pissed went off for 51 points that game because that guy was right behind the bulls bench
