EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Michael Vick’s increasing role in the offense had him smiling in the Eagles’ locker room after Sunday’s victory over the Giants. He told Sporting News’ Bill Eichenberger and other reporters that it was especially satisfying to have the opportunity to make key plays with the game still in doubt, which he did, completing a 32-yard pass on the Eagles’ opening drive and scoring on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.

Question: Are you happy with the way your role has evolved?
Michael Vick: I’m pleased, but I’ve been pleased all year. I’ve been pleased with the amount of playing time I’ve been getting. It’s great to have plays in the offense when you can out and actually have some success.
